Apple announced that they had sold 25 billion songs on iTunes since it is first launch in 2003.
That’s means that on average there is: “over 15,000 songs downloaded per minute,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s SVP of Internet Software and Services.
On this occasion Apple offers €10,000 gift card to the lucky downloader who was number 25 billion.
iTunes is available in 119 countries and have over 26 million songs available.
Last month, Apple said that it had recorded over 40 billion app downloads from its App Store. The company said that 20 billion of those were in 2012 alone.
