Apple Acquires interface patent

Sunday, February 03, 2013

Apple has acquired interface patents from Canadian company Maya-Systems.

The interface is an axis-based interface where documents and files can be stored and grouped in the cloud. A searchable timeline can then be created based on a files tags or attributes; like the system for notes and storage in the Evernote application.

Maya-Systems have a product called “I am Organized”, which is a platform for organizing, sharing and viewing files and documents stored in the cloud.

This patent will enhance the iCloud file sharing system and document storage system, and probably will show in the iOS 7.
