Google Mobile app brings voice search to BlackBerry

Wednesday, April 08, 2009
Today Google introduced a version of the Google Mobile Application specifically for BlackBerries.

The mobile app will allow BlackBerry users to perform voice searches and adds My Location features to search, as well.
This means that users can initiate a Google search without ever needing to touch the keyboard. All they need to do is speak search queries into their BlackBerries and receive local results based on their current location.

For example, when you need a place to eat nearby you no longer have to type "restaurant near X", you just say "restaurant" and the Mobile App will give you a list of places in the vicinity- as simple as it gets.
Google Mobile for BlackBerries is a free download.
