LG to let us play with its transparent phone tomorrow

Saturday, April 11, 2009
We've seen it at MWC2009 as a concept, locked inside a glass case. Now, the LG GD900 comes one step closer to the market. The most interesting of all is the unique transparent, sliding keypad with touch-sensitive keys.  An interesting fact is the presence of some sort of haptic feedback – a feature that is quickly becoming a standard for the touch-controlled mobile devices on the market. It also has handwriting recognition, which isn't too frequent on the market.

the phone has a 3" touch screen with WVGA (480x800) resolution. it will also feature multi-touch input as well as gesture support. for example: the two-finger zoom, writing the letter M to access the MP3 player, and drawing a circle to control the volume. The LG GD900 will hit the European and Asian shelves in May but its pricing is yet unknown.
