Samsung dual screen patent

Monday, December 23, 2013

Samsung recently obtained a patent for mobile dual screen; the device is expected to be released in 2015.

The device will be foldable with two screens one on the front and one on the back, so when the device will be unfolded the screens will be lie next to each other’s.

The screens can be used to display independent apps, or they can work together to display the same app like when reading a book or playing a game.

In the patent there were detailed figures about the two screens with each app, like the calendar, photos and much more, one of the picture shows the device standing by its own with one user playing game while the other display showing something else.

This new feature is very interesting as it will bring new ways to use mobile devices, and new features for the apps, also it will bring folded mobile trend back for the market after it diminished when smartphones with touch display overtook the market.
