CES 2014: First day

Today 7 January 2014 is the first day of CES 2014, which takes place in las vegas, USA, of course like each year the day before the somite is a press day for all the company, and it was an amazing day full of new technology and devices, so let us have a quick look at what’s new the technology world will bring us this year:


Samsung announced four new tablets; they say they intend to be number one tablet maker this year: “We created the Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO series to kick-off a year in which Samsung truly establishes its leadership in the tablet market,”

TabPRO 8.4, TabPRO 10.1, and TabPRO 12.2 and Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, is the names of the new devices, and you can guess the screen sizes is 8.4-inches, 10.1-inches, 12.2-inches and 12.2-respectively, the hardware for the TabPRO series is almost identical expect of the screen size and memory, they are expected to be available for consumers in Q1 2014, for more specs you can visit the links below:

Sony has announced the Xperia Z1S which is a replicate of the Xperia Z1 but in more compact dimensions (127 x 64.9 x 9.5 mm with a weight of 137g), the sad thing is that this model is an exclusive model for USA T-Mobile carrier and will not be available for all countries.

Asus announced a new smartphone series “Zenfone”, the line has 3 smartphones called Asus Zenfone 6, Zenfone 5, and the Zenfone 4.they will come with bright colors: Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Cherry Red, Sky Blue, Solar Yellow and Champagne Gold.

And they announced the dual SIM PadFone mini with an Intel Atom inside,and PadFone X The successor of the PadFone Infinity(he PadFone line products feature smartphones that can be latched to the back of a tablet dock, and turn it into a fully-functioning tablet. In other words, the phone serves as the brains of the tablet), and VivoTab Note 8 with Wacom digitizer stylus and Windows 8.1

Also they have announced the Transformer Book Duet TD300. Dubbed as the "world’s first quad-mode, dual-OS laptop and tablet convertible," it lets you alternate between Winidows 8.1 and Android 4.2 with a push of the dedicated Instant Switch button, and the screen can be removed from its dock to be used as a tablet.

Nvidia has announced an interesting 192-core Kepler GPU that will come in combination of a quad-core Cortex A15 in Q1 2014, the new GPU will be a Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) where a lot of the traditional CPU load can be transferred over to the GPU.
