Tuesday, September 01, 2015

Back in June, we told you about
a new 6.8-inch handset from Lenovo that had been certified by China's TENAA agency. The phone has officially been unveiled as the Lenovo Phab Plus and will be available in China from China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom. The Phab Plus will be priced at the equivalent of $406 USD, and there is no word from Lenovo as to whether it will offer the device globally.

Want to know more about the Lenovo Phab Plus? The handset offers a 6.8-inch, 1080 x 1920 resolution screen. That works out to a pixel density of 324ppi. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 615 chipset, with a 64-bit octa-core 1.5GHz CPU and the Adreno 405 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB of expandable storage. The camera combo from back to front weighs in at 13MP/5MP, and the lights are kept on thanks to the 3500mAh battery that powers the phone. Android 5.0 is pre-installed with Vibe UI running on top. Dolby Atmos Surround Sound is on board to provide the user with spectacularly clear audio.

The Lenovo Phab Plus has dual SIM capabilities and supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB connectivity. It measures 7.6mm thin, but does weigh a rather hefty 220 grams. There are four color options: Metallic Gray, Midnight Blue, Neon Pink and Elegant Silver platinum.
