LG G Pad II 10.1 released in South Korea

Wednesday, September 23, 2015

Earlier this month, LG introduced the
LG G Pad II 10.1 at IFA. Now, the tablet has been released in South Korea prior to its U.S. launch, which should take place before the end of this month. The slate offers a 1200 x 1920 resolution on its screen, which works out to a pixel density of 224ppi. LG says that the device sports the thinnest bezels among other tablets of its size.

The Snapdragon 800 chipset can be found under the hood, with a quad-core 2.26GHz CPU and the Adreno 330 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB of internal memory. Those seeking additional storage can turn to the 2TB capacity microSD slot on board the device. 100GB of free OneDrive cloud storage is included.

A 5MP camera adorns the back of the tablet, with a 2MP snapper found in front. The 7400mAh juicer keeps the power flowing through the tablet's veins, and Android 5.1.1 is pre-installed. A number of LG features are loaded on the tablet, including Reader Mode. This eliminates the blue from the screen's back lighting to make reading books less tiring for your eyes. Dual Window opens two apps side-by-side to boost productivity, and Quick Memo+ allows you to write a memo and share it with others. Those planning on using the tablet for work will be happy to learn that it comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office apps.

The LG G Pad II 10.1 will be available in two variants. One offers Wi-Fi connectivity only, while the other supports 4G LTE connectivity.
