Samsung Galaxy A9 spotted in AnTuTu

Saturday, October 10, 2015

Rumors about a new Galaxy smartphone that Samsung might release sometime in the indefinite future have just popped up. The purported new star in the galaxy (or should we say the new Galaxy in Sammy's universe) has appeared in a leaked AnTuTu benchmark screenshot under the SM-A9000 alias. It's speculated that this device could end up being a new addition to the Galaxy A lineup — the Galaxy A9 in particular.

Judging from the rumored specs, it might be an upper mid-range newcomer that will sport a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 620 (MSM8976) paired with an Adreno 510 GPU, as well as 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The AnTuTu leak also shows that the device might sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display. The handset is running Android 5.1.1 out of the box.
