Exynos version of the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) gets benchmarked

Wednesday, February 03, 2016

The original Galaxy J7 came in both Exynos and Snapdragon processor variants , Samsung seems set to do the same with the 2016 iteration.

The Galaxy J7 (2016) has made unofficial appearances a couple of times in the last month. While the phone is rumored to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC, there’s another version of the phone coming out that will come with Samsung’s new Exynos 7870 SoC, at least according to several benchmarks.

The Galaxy J7 (2016) went through the Geekbench and GFXBench benchmarks with the Exynos 7870 under the hood (model number SM-J710FN), The Exynos 7870 is an octa-core chip with a clock speed of nearly 1.7GHz ,  the Exynos model seems to have only 2GB of RAM over the 3GB in the Qualcomm 615 version.

The new phone is rumored to have a 3000mAh battery, a 5.5-inch 720p touchscreen (the Snapdragon model apparently sports 1080p resolution) and probably Marshmallow on board, along with a 13-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel front.
