This past month rumors started to surface that Samsung might be adding a new device to their A series of smartphones, a Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro. The other day customs data revealed that the SM-A9100 model had entered India for testing, but there was no specs mentioned.

This time a device with that same model number has surfaced on GFXBench with some amazing specifications.

According to GFXBench the phone will sport a 5.5-inch full-HD display (1920x1080p) with fingerprint sensor, and run the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, powered by a Qualcomm chipset having ARM Cortex A72 Octa-cores, an Adreno 510 graphics engine, 4GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt memory.

It is also said to house a 15MP primary camera with LED flash and a 7MP snapper on the front with full-HD video recording capability.

The connectivity features of the Galaxy A9 Pro include a single SIM card slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC (Near Field Communication), GPS, proximity sensors, accelerometer and light sensors.

As of now, there is no word on when Samsung plans to unveil the new Galaxy A9 Pro, but rumour has it that the company will wait another month, if not more, so the soon-to-be-launched flagship Galaxy S7 series are the first Samsung phones to hit the stores with Android Marshmallow.
