HTC unveils new Desire 626 version in India

HTC has announced a more powerful version of the Desire 626 in India with dual-SIM support and LTE.

This variant of the smartphone has a MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor in place of the Snapdragon, as well as 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP selfie shooter and a 2,000 mAh battery.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed .The Desire 626 also offers two SIM card slots, while it measures 146.9 x 70.9 x 19mm, and weighs 135 grams.

The new device will become available soon, priced at INR 14,990 - which means about $220 or €198 at the current exchange rates. The color versions are going to be called Blue Lagoon and White Birch. It's still unclear if it will ever launch elsewhere.
