Sony releases Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Xperia Z5 series in Japan

Sony has released the Android Marshmallow update for its range of Sony Xperia Z5 smartphones in Japan -  Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, and Xperia Z5 Premium. The Marshmallow update for Sony Xperia Z5 has been already available in Turkey.

Some of the major highlights from the update are as follows:

·         Homepage scrolling has new animation options

·         You can now set how long you want the phone to stay in vibrate mode (Ranges from 15 minutes to 8 hours to indefinitely)

·         An option to delete the screenshot taken from the notification shade is added

·         New camera app interface

·         New podcast widget for the Music app

·         You can now select multiple contacts at once to add to your favourite contacts

·         Other Android Marshmallow features like Doze mode, Now on Tap, App standby etc working.


Sony has also indicated that Marshmallow will arrive in the UK next week for the Xperia Z5 series, Xperia Z4 tablet and the Xperia Z3+.
