Monday, September 19, 2011
The tele-communication companies in the Saudi Arabia had announced that they lunched 4G (LTE) services in the Middle East and South Africa, which has been adopted and under studied since early 2010.

This new technology improves performance in both capacity wise and competence wise, where the Data speed transfer will reach 100 Mbit/s in case of high mobility communication (such as from trains and cars), and 1 Gbit/s in case of low mobility communication (such as pedestrians and stationary users).

Mobily had launched 4G services by its own company “First Data”, Zain announced its 4G services had launched too.
STC will cover 400 sites in the first stage, and will follow this coverage to the rest cities and provinces according a strict schedule taking into account the priorities of the KSA population.
