Apple's new maps service

Tuesday, March 20, 2012
It looks like Apple is developing its own mapping service after it became clear that the iPhoto app on the new iPad does not use Google Maps to geo-tag images.
The company has apparently ditched Google Maps for an open source project run by the non-profit OpenStreetMap Foundation, where they used their data in the iPhoto app maps along with a new Apple layout of the maps.
Will this lead to a full abandons of Google maps in all Apple’s devices??? And would this new maps be as big as Google’s??? Let’s wait and see.
