Galaxy Note 6 said to come with IP68 watertight certification, plus an iris scanner

Monday, April 11, 2016

According to a new report, the Note 6 will be IP68 certified. That means it will be dust tight and just as water resistant as the Galaxy S7 - being able to withstand submerging into up to 1.5m of water for up to 30 minutes. In the same report, the Note 6 is also rumored to house an iris scanner for unlocking the phone and other security shenanigans.

Previously, we heard rumors about the Galaxy Note 6 having a 5.8-inch display, 6GB of RAM , a 12 MP rear camera, 64 or 128GB of storage, and  Android N OS

The handset could be unveiled as early as June, as some analysts predict, or following a traditional schedule for Note launches and announce it in late August or early September. It's too early to be sure at this point.
