Apple, The second valuable company in the world

According to “Interbrand’s 2012 global brand rankings”, Apple went from being in the 8th place in the most valuable company in the world to becoming in the 2ed place, right after Coca Cola in the first place, where it is reported that Apple’s value increased 129% in the past year, with a Value at $76.5 billion, and it passed in the way up IBM, Google and Microsoft.

“Despite Steve Jobs’ passing, consumers’ emotional connection to the Apple brand remains stronger than ever – this was made clear just recently with the launch of iPhone 5,” Interbrand noted in its report. “Even in the face of increasing competition from rivals Google and Samsung, the company continues to demonstrate its commitment to protecting the Apple brand and its intellectual property.”

Regarding Apple’s first rival in the market today, Samsung, the company reached the top ten list for the first time in its history taking the 9th place (coming up from the 17th place of last year) as the most valuable company in the world with 32.8$ Billion, which is an increase by 40% since the company became the world’s largest smartphone and mobile phone manufacturer.
