Samsung Galaxy S7 active goes official

Tuesday, June 07, 2016

Samsung Electronics America and AT&T in collaboration have unveiled the new Galaxy S7 Active. The smartphone will go on sale exclusively at AT&T starting Friday, both online, and in stores priced at $799.

Like the other two members of the Galaxy S7 series, the S7 Active is IP68-certified, meaning it's dust- and water-resistant (you can dunk it in up to 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes). However, unlike the regular S7 and S7 edge, the S7 Active is shatter-resistant: according to Samsung, it will survive "drops from 5 feet or less on a flat surface".

As for other spec the S7 Active features:

·         5.1-inch Super Amoled display with resolution 1440 x 2560 pixels.

·         Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.

·         4GB of RAM.

·         32GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded  via microSD card (up to 200GB).

·         4000mAh battery.

·         12-megapixel rear camera with Dual Pixel technology.

·         5-megapixel front camera.

·         Fingerprint scanner.

·         Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

·         Color options: Sandy Gold, Titanium Grey, and Camo Green.
