Ford and Telenav to bring car navigation app

Tuesday, October 16, 2012

Ford has teamed up with the navigation company Telenav to bring mobile navigation app to be connected with the car system, which will be much more efficient and cheaper way to get maps navigation while driving than to buy separate GPS solution or even go with a build in navigation solution in the car.

This solution will allow users to connect their smartphones with the car, and have the mobile maps shown on the cars display, and the voice direction instruction coming  through the cars sound system, Also other features are traffic information, red-light camera warnings and speed trap alerts, which are rarely found on in-dash systems.

Some other companies like Chevrolet has already present similar sulotion in some of their models, and probably more and more car manufacturer will adopt this solution in the future because of its low price and much more feature that adds to car navigation.
