BlackBerry 10 launch event

RIM had announced their new launch event on January 30, 2013, which will be the launch of the new Blackberry 10 OS and they will introduce their first two BB10 smartphones, a touch-screen-only device is expected to be released first followed shortly after by a version with a physical keyboard.

RIM is counting on this version of BlackBerry OS to save the company and put it back to compete with the big mobile companies in the world.

The company had lays off 5,000 employees as part of a bid to save $1 billion this year, and their stock fell or 4.7 percent, to close at $8.40 Tuesday in New York after rising as high as $9.07 the previous day, when RIM announced its Jan. 30 launch date.
