BlackBerry seems to have finally kicked BlackBerry OS to the curb, and it looks like Android phones may be BlackBerry’s future.

According to a new rumor, the BlackBerry is working on three new Android midrange smartphones, code-named Neon, Argon, and Mercury.

Neon, a low- to mid-range phone will feature:

·         5.2-inch with Full HD (1080*1920 pixel) resolution.

·         Snapdragon 617

·         3GB of RAM

·         16GB of internal storage

·         2610mAh battery

·         13-megapixel rear camera

·         8-megapixel front-facing camera

·         scheduled for release in July-August


Argon, the most powerful one will feature:

·         5.5-inch with QHD resolution

·         Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC

·         4GB of RAM

·         32GB of internal storage

·         3000mAh battery

·         Fingerprint reader

·         21-megapixel primary camera

·         8-megapixel front facing camera

·         scheduled for release in October


Mercury is the only one of these handsets to sport a physical QWERTY keyboard. It will feature:

·         4.5-inch screen with full HD resolution

·         Qualcomm Snapdragon 625

·         3GB of RAM

·         32GB of internal storage

·         3400mAh battery

·         18-megapixel rear camera

·         8-megapixel front facing camera

·         scheduled for release in Q1 of 2017
