Tizen powered Samsung Z2 goes official

The first Tizen smartphone, the Samsung Z1, was launched in India in January last year. In October, the company then launched the Samsung Z3.

Today Samsung launched the third smartphone in the Samsung Z series of Tizen smartphones in India; Dubbed Z2 priced at Rs. 4,590 ($70 at current exchange rates).

The Z2 is the first 4G LTE smartphone from Samsung that runs Tizen OS. 

As for the specifications, the Samsung Z2 sports:

·         4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) display

·         1.5GHz quad-core processor

·         1GB of RAM

·         8GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB)

·         5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash

·         VGA (0.3-megapixel) front camera

·         1500mAh battery

·         Dual SIM

·         Tizen OS

·         Color options: Black, Wine Red, and Gold
