Samsung to continue Galaxy A Series with A3, A5 and A7 (2017) to launch next year

Monday, August 29, 2016

Back in 2014, Samsung launched the mid-range handsets Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7, as its slimmest smartphones at the time.

The second iteration of this mid-range handset lineup (Galaxy A3 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016)) was announced around nine months ago with a huge improvement over its predecessor.

And now its look like that Samsung is working on the third iteration of this handset lineup (Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017)), according to a new report.

According to the same report, the model numbers of the Galaxy A3 (2017), A5 (2017) and A7 (2017) will be SM-A320F, SM-A520F and SM-A720F respectively.

There's not much information on the Galaxy A3 (2017) or the Galaxy A7 (2017), but the third smartphone in the lineup has recently been imported into India for testing. In addition, the Galaxy A5 (2017) has been spotted on Geekbench, and some of its specs have been revealed.

According to the Geekbench test the Galaxy A5 (2017) will feature:

·         1.87GHz octa-core Exynos 7880

·         3GB of RAM

·         Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 OS
