Apple finally launch iPhone and iPhone 7 Plus, the best, most advanced iPhone ever

Apple has released the next generation of the iPhone at its annual event in San Francisco today - the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the best, most advanced iPhone ever.

“iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus dramatically improve every aspect of the iPhone experience, reaching a new level of innovation and precision to make this the best iPhone we have ever made,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. 


For the first time in the iPhone's history, the new phones are "water and dust resistant," With an IP67 certification, it can last up to 30 minutes under a meter of water.

Home button

The new iPhones also has a new home button and this houses the fingerprint sensor. The home button is pressure sensitive with Taptic Engine, meaning that it won't click in anymore. It is capable of detecting various levels of pressure, and the Taptic Engine will respond with its recognizable feedback when a press is detected. 



The iPhone 7 features a 4.7-inch Retina HD display (750x1334 (326ppi)) with 3D touch.

The iPhone 7 Plus, on the other hand, features a 5.5-inch Retina HD display (1080x1920 (401ppi)) with 3D touch. 



The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are powered by a new quad-core chip named A10 Fusion with a hexa-core GPU.

The new Apple's A10 Fusion chip delivers up to 40% more computational power and up to 50% faster graphics compared to the A9.

The iPhone 7 comes with 2GB of RAM while the iPhone 7 Plus comes with 3GB of RAM.

As for memory options, the new iPhones will come in three configurations – with 32, 128, and 256GB of built-in, non-expandable storage.


Camera experience

The iPhone 7 features an updated 12MP camera with f/1.8 six-element lens and optical image stabilization. The sensor is 60% faster and 30% more efficient than the previous camera system.

The iPhone 7 Plus has two 12MP rear cameras, one of which works normally, as it does in the iPhone 7, the other one is a telephoto lens that can zoom 2X in high quality without using any software and up to 10X digital zoom for photos.

Cameras on both models have 4K video recording capability. It also have New Quad-LED True Tone flash that is 50 percent brighter than iPhone 6s.

There is also 7 MP front facing camera on both new phones which can records 1080p video.


Size and weight

The iPhone 7 weighs 138 grams and measures 138.3mm x 67.1mm x 7.1mm.

The iPhone 7 Plus weighs 188 grams and measures 158.2mm x 77.9mm x 7.3mm.



Color options

Apple has two black offerings - Jet Black and just Black, as well as Gold, Silver and Rose gold.


For battery

There's no word on whether the physical capacity of the battery has been boosted, but as what Apple says the iPhone 7 Plus lasts an hour longer than its predecessor, while the iPhone 7 should lasts 2 extra hours of use compared to the iPhone 6s.


For Audio Experience

Apple introduces the latest generation of EarPod headphones connect over the lightning connector instead of the standard, 3.5-millimeter headphone jack.

Apple will also supply a 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter that allows customers to use old headphones and accessories.

The new iPhones also comes for the first time with stereo speakers at the top and bottom of the devices. It boasts 2x the volume of the iPhone 6s as well as an improved audio range.



Pricing and availability

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are going to be available on September 16, with pre-orders starting on September 9.

Pricing starts at $649 for the iPhone 7. That's for the model with 32GB of storage, the 128GB variant costs $749 and the 256GB - $849.

While, the larger iPhone 7 Plus will cost you $769 for the model with 32GB of storage, the 128GB variant costs $869 and the 256GB - $969.
