Replacement Samsung Galaxy Note 7 explodes, Should Samsung drop the Galaxy Note 7 from its lineup?

Sunday, October 9, 2016

Last month, Samsung initiated a global recall of the Galaxy Note 7 units sold worldwide due to faulty batteries that could lead to explosions and replaced faulty units with new, safe ones.

Now, new report claims that a 'safe' Note7 unit caught fire in its owners pocket as a Southwest flight was about to depart earlier this week. Another supposedly safe Galaxy Note 7 has also ignited in Taiwan where a 26-year old woman was walking her dog in a park.

So we have to ask, is it only the faulty battery in the Galaxy Note 7 that is causing explosions or is there something else that’s wrong with the smartphone?

Should Samsung stop selling the Galaxy Note 7 and drop it from its lineup?
