After Halt Production of Galaxy Note 7, Samsung Teases New Metal-Body Smartphone

Tuesday, October 11, 2016

After reports of replacement units of Galaxy Note 7 exploding, the Korean news agency, Yonhap reports that Samsung has temporarily halted the production of the Galaxy Note 7 units.

After this decision, it looks like the company is refusing to give up and it is keen to turn its focus on other devices.

Samsung has posted a teaser for the launch of its next smartphone on Chinese website Weibo. In the teaser, the company says, "The next big thing is coming.".

The teaser does not reveal the identity of the upcoming smartphone,  but it appears to be much-rumored and metal-clad Samsung Galaxy C9.

According to the previous rumors the Galaxy C9 will feature:

·         6-inch display with 1080*1920 resolution

·         Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 CPU clocked at 1.4GHz.

·         6GB of RAM, which will make it the first phone by the South Korean company to sport such amount of memory

·         16-megapixel rear camera

·         16-megapixel front camera

·         4000mAh battery
