Honor 6X is official with new Kirin 655 SoC and dual rear cameras

As expected, Huawei has announced the Honor 6X smartphone at an event in China. 

The Honor 6X comes with significant upgrades compared to its predecessor Honor 5X, which launched around the same time last year.


The smartphone features:

·         5.5-inch (1080x1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass protection

·         new Kirin 655 SoC with octa-core CPU (4 x 2.1GHz + 4 x 1.7GHz Cortex-A53)

·         Mali T830-MP2 GPU

·         3GB / 4GB of RAM

·         32GB / 64GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via Micro SD up to 128GB

·         8-megapixel front camera

·         Dual camera setup ( 12MP primary sensor and another 2MP secondary sensor) with LED Flash

·         Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS

·         Dual-SIM

·         3340mAh battery

·         Fingerprint sensor at the back

·         Dimensions: 150.9x72.6x8.2mm, weighs: 162grams

·         Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and GPS

·         Color options:  gold, silver, grey, blue, and rose gold

The Honor 6 X is priced at 999 yuan ($148) for the 3GB/32GB model, 1299 yuan ($192) for the 4GB/32GB model, and 1599 yuan ($237) for the 4GB/64GB model. It is now available for pre-order in China and will go on sale on October 25.
