Report: Samsung is working on two different Galaxy S8 models, new Galaxy Note is in the works as well

Thursday, November 10, 2016

Following the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge from 2015 with SM-G920 and G925 model numbers, and the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge released earlier this year with SM-G930 and SM-G935 model numbers, Samsung is now working on two different Galaxy S8 models but with SM-G950 and SM-G955 model numbers instead of SM-G940 and SM-G945, meaning Samsung is skipping the number 4, according to a new report.

Beside the model numbers of the Galaxy S8 models, the report also claims that both Galaxy S8 models will come with curved screens, which means there won't be a regular and an edge version.

The most interesting thing in the report that Samsung is also working on an SM-N950 - which can only be a new Galaxy Note (since previous Notes have the model numbers SM-N930, SM-N920, and so on). So after the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, it will be interesting to see what moniker the handset will eventually carry.
