HTC Bolt goes official with high-end specs

HTC today announced their newest smartphone exclusive to Sprint’s network, the HTC Bolt.

Sprint is calling the HTC Bolt: Sprint's fastest phone ever. Hence the endorsement of Usain Bolt, the world's fastest man.



The Bolt is the first smartphone to launch with Sprint’s latest network technology, which is said to provide faster download speeds than other networks.

Also the HTC Bolt is the first smartphone from HTC to come with IP57 certification for water resistance, which lets the Bolt survive submersion in a meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

For design, the HTC Bolt looks a lot like the HTC 10. It comes with all aluminum body.



For specs, the HTC Bolt comes with high-end specs; include:

·         5.5-inch Super LCD-3 display with a 1440 x 2560 resolution protected by Gorilla Glass 5

·         Snapdragon 810 chipset with an octa-core 2GHz CPU

·         3GB of RAM

·         32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via Micro SD up to 2TB

·         16MP rear camera

·         8MP front facing camera

·         3200mAh battery

·         Android Nougat 7.0 OS

·         Front fingerprint scanner

·         Connectivity options: Cat 9 LTE with LTE band 41 (up to 450Mbps DL speed);Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac 2.5GHz or 5GHz; Bluetooth 4.1; NFC; USB-C

·         Color options: Glacial Silver and Gunmetal

The HTC Bolt is available starting today exclusive at US Sprint stores - for $25 a month, 24 months in a row.  The device might launch elsewhere under a different name.
